Bradley Cooper in Talks to Play Lucifer in PARADISE LOST

Milton’s 17th-century poem looks to be getting a 3D adaptation

Variety reports that Bradley Cooper (‘The Hangover Part II,’ ‘Limitless’) is in early talks to play Lucifer in Alex Proyas’ long in the works ‘Paradise Lost.’ The trade says that while an offer has yet to be made, the actor is eager to take the part.

An adaptation of John Milton’s epic 17th-century poem of the English language, a tale of immense drama and excitement, of rebellion and treachery, of innocence pitted against corruption, in which God and Satan fight a bitter battle for control of mankind’s destiny. The struggle ranges across heaven, hell, and earth, as Satan and his band of rebel angels conspire against God. At the center of the conflict are Adam and Eve, motivated by all too human temptations, but whose ultimate downfall is unyielding love.

Proyas’ movie “will be crafted as an action vehicle that will include aerial warfare, possibly shot in 3D.”

The ‘The Hangover’ actor was recently revealed to be in negotiations to lead the reboot of ‘The Crow.’ Coincidentally, Proyas directed the original 1994 cult classic starring Brandon Lee.
