Bonos Doppelganger comes to Dublin

Neil McCormick’s “I Was Bono’s Doppelganger” set to film in Dublin

A new film based on music journalist Neil McCormick’s autobiography is slated to begin shooting in Dublin this August.


Titled ‘I Was Bono’s Doppelganger’ – the music-based comedy will tell the story of how the McCormick dabbled with his brother’s chance of becoming a member of U2.


Irish actor Robert Sheehan (Cherrybomb) and Stardust’s Charlie Cox have signed on to star in the film helmed by Nick Hamm (The Hole). Cox will play Neil, while Sheehan will play his brother Ivan.


Sheehan  recently completed work on the big budget ‘Season of the Witch’ with Nicolas Cage.
