Bond returns in 2012

MGM reveal plans for 007

MGM have revealed a potential release date for the next Bond movie.

According to a report issued by the studio yesterday, the new Bond films “may be released every second year starting in November 2012. It aims to own 50 percent of Bond 23, due out that year, with an equal partner paying all of the production costs, it said. Later Bond movies would be wholly owned and funded by MGM, the company said.”

Though unconfirmed, one issue facing the delayed Bond 23 was the increasingly crowded schedule of star Daniel Craig. He’s currently filming The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and must then segue to do reshoots on the now delayed Dream House.

Craig will then be promoting Cowboys & Aliens throughout next summer.
