Pink Panther’s Blake Edwards dies at 88

Writer/director Blake Edwards has died at the age of 88.

The filmmaker passed away earlier today with wife Julie Andrews and his children at his bedside, reports Variety.

Edwards was best known for the success of his Pink Panther film series starring Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau.

Edwards’ other films include Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Days of Wine and Roses. He received an Academy Honorary Award in 2004 in recognition of his work as a writer, producer and director.
