BLADE RUNNER Sequel Brings in GREEN LANTERN Scribe

New scribe boards the sci-fi project.

Ridley Scott is looking to bring in a new screenwriter to help tackle the script for his long-awaited follow-up to ‘Blade Runner.’ TheWrap has word that Michael Green, one of the five writers behind 2011’s ‘Green Lantern,’ is negotiations for the gig.

The scribe would be replacing Hampton Fancher, who co-wrote the seminal 1982 sci-fi with Scott, based on the Philip K. Dick novel ‘Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?’

According to TheWrap’s sources, Harrison Ford is being courted reprise his role as replicant-hunting ex-cop Rick Deckard with the film set some years after the conclusion of the first film.

Scott is attached to direct and produce the follow-up with Alcon Entertainment’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove co-producing.
