Bill Nighy for Shadowland adaptation.
Bill Nighy has signed to star in the horror/fantasy film Shadowland.
The upcoming 3D feature is based on the 1980 book by Peter Straub. It follows a young college student who discovers a world of magic and fantasy after meeting a charismatic older man. The student must later decide whether to join the “forces of evil” or to save his best friend’s life.
Billed as a cross between The Illusionist and The Shining, the film will be directed by Erik Canuel.
