Following the announcement yesterday that Da Vinci Code sequel ‘Angels and Demons’ has found a leading lady in Ayelet Zurer, today Ewan McGregor has confirmed he has signed on to Ron Howard’s sequel.
The Story centres on religious art scholar Robert Langdon (Hanks), who once again finds himself entangled with powerful forces with ancient roots: the Illuminati — the most powerful underground organization in history — and the Catholic Church. Zurer will play Vittoria Vetra, an Italian scientist who joins forces with Langdon.
McGregor is set to play a powerful Vatican insider who assists Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) in his quest to uncover nefarious goings on within the Catholic Church.
Shooting is set to begin next month.
