Star-studded comedy adds two more.

British actress Andrea Riseborough (‘Oblivion,’ ‘Welcome to the Punch,’ ‘Shadow Dancer’) and Amy Ryan (‘Win Win,’ ‘Gone Baby Gone’) have become the latest additions to ‘Babel’ helmer Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s ensemble comedy ‘Birdman.’

The dark comedy centres on “a former actor (played by Michael Keaton), who once played an iconic superhero, as he mounts a Broadway play based on a Raymond Carver short story in a bid to reclaim past glory. However, the play’s egotistical leading man threatens to throw everything down the tubes.”

Riseborough and Ryan join a cast that includes Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis. According to Deadline, Ryan will be taking the role of Keaton’s long suffering ex-wife.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin next month in New York.
