Analeigh Tipton Goes VIRAL With CATFISH Directors

Will topline the genre thriller…

Model-turned-actress Analeigh Tipton (‘Warm Bodies,’ ‘ Crazy, Stupid, Love.’) has reportedly scored the lead in the Blumhouse-produced sci-fi/horror thriller ‘Viral.’

Based on the 2012 Black List screenplay by Barbara Marshall, the film revolves around Stacey (Tipton), a young woman whose world is turned upside down as a terrifying virus turns her friends and neighbours into vicious monsters. Quarantined with her family, she believes they are out of harm’s way until the contagion infiltrates their home.

Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Catfish, Paranormal Activity 3) are behind the camera with a screenplay coming from Christopher Landon (‘ Paranormal Activity 2-5’).

Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, Matt Kaplan of Chapter One Films, and Busted Shark’s Sherryl Clark will produce.

The film, formerly titled ‘Peste,’ was initially set to star Abigail Breslin under the direction of Mark Tonderai (‘House At The End Of The Street’).
