‘In Time’ and ‘Dear John’ actress Amanda Seyfried is in talks to play adult film star Linda Lovelace in the Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman-directed biopic ‘Lovelace.’ Variety also adds that Peter Sarsgaard (‘Green Lantern,’ ‘Orphan’) is in early talks to portray her pornographer husband Chuck Traynor.

Lovelace is the infamous star of the 1972 porn flick ‘Deep Throat,’ which is one of the highest-grossing independent films of all time. She was just a Florida schoolgirl named Linda Boreman when she met Traynor, a would-be filmmaker who transformed her into a world-famous sex star. Production on the biopic is slated to begin in January, interestingly enough around the same time that director Matthew Wilder’s competing project, ‘Inferno,’ is set to begin lensing. Wilder’s film stars Malin Akerman and Matt Dillon as Lovelace and Traynor, and is based on the porn star’s autobiography ‘Ordeal.’ Paz de la Huerta (‘Boardwalk Empire’) has a supporting role.
