Swedish star being sought the female lead.

Variety is reporting that Guy Ritchie is in talks with Swedish actress Alicia Vikander to come aboard his feature adaptation of the 1960s spy series ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’

Tom Cruise and Armie Hammer are leading the film with the plot following two agents of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) who, using gadgets and their wits and charm, fought the evil organization known as THRUSH.

Vikander, who was last seen in Joe Wright’s ‘Anna Karenina,’ has been busy over the last year, landing roles in Bill Condon’s Julian Assange drama ‘The Fifth Estate’ and the upcoming fantasy actioner ‘Seventh Son’ co-starring Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and Ben Barnes. The Swedish actress also recently entered into talks for female lead in Alex Garland’s indie robot thriller ‘Ex Machina.’

‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ is being produced by Ritchie along with producing partner Lionel Wigram.
