ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD, DAY Casts Its Lead

Newcomer lands lead in live-action adaptation.

TheWrap is hearing that young Australian actor Ed Oxenbould (‘Puberty Blues,’ ‘Julian’) has nabbed the lead in Disney’s ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.’

Co-starring Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner, the film is a live-adaptation of the 1972 children’s book by Judith Viorst and follows young Alexander (Oxenbould) through the mishaps of a terrible day for his family after he wishes they all would experience the same troubles he does.

Miguel Arteta (‘Cedar Rapids,’ ‘Youth in Revolt’) is attached to direct with Lisa Cholodenko and Rob Leiber providing the script.
