Affleck Goes To Town

Ben Affleck returns to the director’s chair with ‘The Town’.

Ben Affleck is in talks to return to the director’s chair for dark heist-romance hybrid ‘The Town’.

Affleck will reportedly write, direct and star in the project, which is based on Chuck Hogan’s novel ‘Prince of Thieves’.

The project involves a high-tension love triangle between a female bank manager, a long-time thief who stole more than her heart and an equally smitten FBI agent trying to bust the crook and his gang before they can pull another big job.

Affleck, who made his directing debut last year on the excellent ‘Gone Baby Gone’, takes over from Adrian Lyne (Lolita), who was originally attached to direct the project.

Graham King (The Departed) is producing through his GK Films banner.

‘Gone Baby Gone’ is available on DVD from September 19th.
