Adam Horovitz of Beastie Boys in Talks for Noah Baumbach

“Ad-Rock” circles role in dramatic comedy.

According to TheWrap, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz of Beastie Boys is in talks to star alongside Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts in Noah Baumbach’s upcoming indie feature ‘While We’re Young.’

Penned by Baumbach, the dramatic comedy sees Stiller and Watts playing a married couple that strikes up an unlikely friendship with a free-spirited younger couple (played by Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried).

The site is hearing that Horovitz would be playing a married friend of Stiller’s character “who just had a baby and can no longer relate to the childless couple.”

Horovitz, who made his acting debut with a small role in an episode of the 1980s crime series ‘The Equalizer,’ has also appeared in films such as ‘Lost Angels’ opposite Donald Sutherland, ‘Roadside Prophets,’ and the 1991 thriller ‘A Kiss Before Dying.’ Baumbach’s indie would mark his largest role in two decades.
