This Wednesday the RTÉ Concert Orchestra celebrates the music of Bernard Hermann and other movie composers at MUSIC TO BE MURDERED BY with pianist Ben Dawson and conducted by Neil Thomson. Celebrating the centenary of the birth of the great Bernard Herrmann. A master at evoking psychological nuance and dramatic tension through music, his iconic scores enriched the work of directors from Alfred Hitchcock – in one of the most creative of all film partnerships – to Martin Scorsese, who dedicated Taxi Driver to him. Experience his genius in music from such masterly scores as Psycho, Vertigo and Taxi Driver, along with thrills from Rózsa’s Ben Hur, Newman’s Airport and more.
