David F. Sandberg, the director of Shazam, returns to his horror roots with the film Until Dawn, which is inspired by the 2015 video game of the same name. While the film is set in the same universe as the game, it tells an original story. It follows a group of young people who are forced to relive the same night repeatedly, experiencing a series of increasingly brutal deaths each time. Unlike Groundhog Day, the characters do not encounter the same situations with each resurrection, making it even more challenging to find a way to survive. We spoke with Sandberg to learn more about the film.
