Sean McNamara directing the fantasy tale…
Pierce Brosnan (‘A Long Way Down’), Benjamin Walker (‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’), Kaya Scodelario (‘The Maze Runner’), Fan Bingbing (‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’) and ‘Divergent’ actor Ben Lloyd-Hughes are all set to star in a big screen adaptation of Vonda McIntyre’s 1997 fantasy novel, ‘The Moon and the Sun,’ reports Variety.
The story follows King Louis XIV (Brosnan), who is determined to protect the future of France by reigning for all eternity. His search for immortality leads him to capture and steal the life force from a mermaid (played by Fan), but soon his 18-year-old illegitimate daughter (Scodelario) discovers the mystical creature and strikes up a friendship with her.”
Principal photography kicks off at the end of the month with Sean McNamara (‘Soul Surfer,’ ‘Raise Your Voice’) behind the camera, directing from a screenplay by Bill Mechanic, James Schamus, Barry Berman and Laura Harrington.
