Wilson and Baldwin to face off in thriller.
Patrick Wilson (‘Young Adult’) and Alec Baldwin (‘Rock of Ages’) are to star in the noir thriller ‘Caught Stealing’ for Myriad Pictures, reports THR.
The film, penned by David Hayter (‘Watchmen,’ ‘X-Men’) and based on the novel by Charlie Huston, sees Wilson playing Hank Thompson, “a hotshot high school baseball prospect turned unlucky alcoholic, going-nowhere bartender who mistakenly gets caught up in a bloody treasure hunt through New York City. It turns out that the cat Hank’s neighbour left in his care is sitting on a secret. Hidden at the bottom of its cage is a key wanted by a sadistic cop (played by Baldwin), Russian mobsters, a Samoan hit man and a pair of psycho brothers who dress in leather gear.”
Commenting on the project, Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico said, “Caught Stealing is, first and foremost, a great script. It is a wrong-man plot worthy of Hitchcock and a brilliant adaption of the first book of the Henry Thompson trilogy. I look forward to seeing the story come to life on screen.”
A director has yet to be announced.
