Star Wars actor takes to the director’s chair
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill will helm a feature film adaptation of his own comic book, The Black Pearl.
Published in 1996, the comic series is a satirical violent crime thriller that includes elements of tabloid journalism.
The 58-year-old announced that he had secured a $7 million budget for the project.
He said his goal is “to make a movie the studios wouldn’t make”.
The adaptation would mark Hamill’s feature directorial debut.
