Helmer adds another project to his slate.
Thompson on Hollywood (via The Playlist) has received word that Marc Webb (‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ ‘500 Days of Summer’) is set to replace Seth Gordon (‘Horrible Bosses’) as the director of the indie ‘The Only Living Boy in New York.’
A coming-of-age tale, the film follows Thomas, a young man living in New York City who learns that overbearing father is having an affair. When Thomas attempts to stop the affair, he ends up becoming romantically involved with the woman as well.
Logan Lerman (‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower,’ ‘The Three Musketeers’) signed on to lead the film back in April 2011 when Gordon was attached to direct, but it is unclear if the young actor is still linked to the project.
Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger (‘Ruby Sparks,’ ‘Little Miss Sunshine’) are on board to produce via Bona Fide Productions.
