“The Switch,” is an offbeat comedy about Kassie, a smart, fun-loving single woman who, despite her slightly neurotic best friend Wally’s objections, decides it’s time to have a baby-even if it means doing it by herself? with a little help from a charming sperm donor. But, unbeknownst to her, Kassie’s plans go awry because of a last-minute switch that isn’t discovered until seven years later when Wally finally gets acquainted with Kassie’s precocious-though slightly neurotic-son. From the people behind “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Juno” comes “The Switch,” due in theaters this summer.
Production on Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones reportedly shut down at one stage due to a clash between the director and the art department.
According to reports, Jackson argued with the art department, headed by Jules Cook and Chris Shriver, over how to portray heaven in the film.
An adaptation of Alice Sebold’s novel, The Lovely Bones focuses on a teenage girl who is murdered and watches from heaven as her family comes to terms with her death. The Wellington crew allegedly took a break from working on the film while Jackson smoothed over the creative differences with the art department.
The Lovely Bones was hit by problems early on during the shoot when Ryan Gosling pulled out of the movie and was replaced by Mark Wahlberg.
EXTRAs: For his first movie, Bad Taste (1987), he did all the special effects, the make-up effects and built exact replicas of the weapons.
