John Green Adaptation LOOKING FOR ALASKA Scores Director

Filmmaker Rebecca Thomas, who made her feature debut with the 2012 drama ‘Electrick Children,’ has been tapped to take the helm of ‘Looking For Alaska,’ a coming-of-age story based on debut novel by ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ author John Green.

Published back in 2005, the book centres on Miles “Pudge” Halter, a young boy who heads off to the sometimes crazy and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, where he meets Alaska Young, a beautiful and troubled girl who is the object of affection for most males at the school.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, the scribes behind ‘The Fault in Our Stars,’ are providing the script. Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment are producing, along with Mark Waters and Jessica Tuchinsky.
