Guy Ritchie’s TOFF GUYS to Star Colin Farrell, Matthew McConaughey & Henry Golding

Colin Farrell, Matthew McConaughey (‘The Beach Bum’), ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ breakout Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Grant, and Jeremy Strong have all been cast in Guy Ritchie’s gritty drug-fuelled next, ‘Toff Guys.’

Described as being in the vein of Ritchie’s high-energy gangster action flicks like ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch,’ the film explores the collision between European “old money” and the modern marijuana industrial complex with new gang entrants swarming.

Per THR, the film sees McConaughey as a businessman who has built a weed empire and now wants out; the other characters are either complications or helpful to his scheme. ‘Downton Abbey’ star Dockery will play McConaughey’s wife, replacing Kate Beckinsale who was previously announced alongside McConaughey.

Farrell will play a character named Coach, a man who trains MMA fighters, while Golding will play a Vietnamese gangster. Grant is playing a photographer who snaps scandalous photos of the protagonist and schemes to blackmail him.

Production is underway, with Ritchie directing from a script he shaped with Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson.
