Big screen adaptation of the flexible hero back in development.
According to Heat Vision, Breck Eisner (‘The Crazies,’ ‘Sahara’) has entered into negotiations to take the director’s chair for a big screen outing of ‘Stretch Armstrong.’
The film is based on the classic Habro toy, a 13-inch, blond-haired muscled figure whose limbs could be stretched to nearly four feet. Stretch was first introduced in 1976 but it was his relaunch in the 1990s that got Hollywood’s interest.
Screenwriter Dean Georgaris (‘Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life,’ ‘The Manchurian Candidate’) is working the screenplay.
The project has been in development for a number of year now and previously had Taylor Lautner attached to star.
