True Blood creator to direct dark comedy for Paramount…
True Blood creator Alan Ball is to direct a dark comedy for Paramount.
According to reports, Ball, who developed the project with screenwriter Elan Mastai, will produce the project.
Mastai’s credits include The F-Word, a project starring Casey Affleck that will soon start production at Fox Searchlight, two HBO shows – True Blood and Six Feet Under – and the 1999 film American Beauty, for which he received a Best Original Screenplay Oscar.
Ball is currently working on season four of True Blood.
