The film originally released in 1994 is produced by acclaimed filmmaker DAVID PUTTNAM (The Duellists, Chariots of Fire, The Killing Fields, The Mission),directed by JOHN ROBERTS and the screenplay adaption of Louis Pergaud’s classic French novel, Le Guerre des Boutons is by Academy Award-winning Colin Welland.
The story sets the leader of the Ballys, Fergus (Gregg Fitzgerald), and his crew of loyal followers against the head of the Carricks, Geronimo (John Coffey), and his gang. In the serious world of childhood, a rivalry flourishes that will send ripples through two communities before it is over.
