MOVIE SUMMARY
A Kiss for Jed, starring Mark O’Halloran, Jayne Wisener, and Lee Arenberg, opens in cinemas across Ireland on May 18th.
The film is written and directed by Maurice Linnane, and co-written by Barry Devlin. As her task on a TV game show, Orla, a wild 19 year old from Ireland, is sent to New York to get a kiss from a country-music superstar. Ray Timmons, a forty year old with a great future behind him, is dispatched as her cameraman. In New York they meet up with porno film soundman Mike and get on the quest. They are wildly unsuccessful but two events change the course of their journey. When Ray decides to stay and rescue Orla from a fate worse than death neither of them get quite what they want – but they do perhaps get what they need. . . .
It’s about a young girl called Orla who wins a reality TV show and goes to New York to stalk and snog country superstar Jed Wood and report back on the next weeks show.
