When he arrives on the Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer, the Rev. Cotton Marcus expects to perform just another routine “exorcism” on a disturbed religious fanatic. An earnest fundamentalist, Sweetzer has contacted the charismatic preacher as a last resort, certain his teenage daughter Nell is possessed by a demon who must be exorcized before their terrifying ordeal ends in unimaginable tragedy. Buckling under the weight of his conscience after years of parting desperate believers with their money, Cotton and his crew plan to film a confessionary documentary of this, his last exorcism. But upon arriving at the already blood drenched family farm, it is soon clear that nothing could have prepared him for the true evil he encounters there. Out on DVD this weekend is Iron Man, which without doubt was one of 2008’s big success stories. Before it opened, no one was sure how a lesser-known Marvel character would play in cinemas but thanks to flawless performances from Robert Downey JR. and Terrance Howard it earned mega-money in cinemas. Here the Oscar nominated actor Terrence Howard tells us how he was the first member cast for the movie and tells us about his excitement of playing War Machine in any future sequels. Of course, the rumour mill is now telling us that Howard is being replaced by Don Cheadle but watching Howard’s enthusiasm for the role it’s difficult to see why he let go of the part…. Iron Man is on DVD in Ireland from October 24th 2008.
