Michael Bay Circling Benghazi Drama 13 HOURS

Master of explosions in talks for political drama…

THR has learned that filmmaker Michael Bay (‘Transformers,’ ‘Pain & Gain’) is looking to take the helm of ’13 Hours,’ an adaptation of Mitchell Zuckoff’s book about the attack on an American compound and a C.I.A. station in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

Published last month, the book presents the true account of what happened during the thirteen hours of that now-infamous attack, focusing on a team of six American security operators who fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there.

Chuck Hogan, the author of behind ‘The Town’ and ‘The Strain,’ adapted the screenplay. The film is set up over at Paramount Pictures with Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts Entertainment producing.
