Fassbender and Alfredson To Build THE SNOWMAN

Michael Fassbender is reportedly in talks to headline ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’ helmer Tomas Alfredson’s latest effort, a film adaptation of Jo Nesbø’s bestselling mystery novel ‘The Snowman.’

Set in Oslo, Nesbø’s novel, the seventh entry in the author’s series about detective Harry Hole, concerns a missing woman whose pink scarf is found wrapped around an ominous-looking snowman. The detective discovers that the crime may be the work of a serial killer.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title are on board to produce alongside Piodor Gustafsson. The script comes from Soren Sveistrup (‘The Killing’).

Fassbender will next be seen starring alongside Marion Cotillard in Justin Kurzel’s retelling of ‘Macbeth,’ hitting Irish cinemas October 2nd, followed by the Danny Boyle-directed biopic ‘Steve Jobs’ on November 13th.
