Colin Farrell Joins Neil Burger’s Sci-Fi-Thriller VOYAGERS

Neil Burger (‘The Upside,’ ‘Limitless,’ ‘Divergent’) is to take the helm for ‘Voyagers,’ a sci-fi thriller that will feature an ensemble cast that includes Colin Farrell, Tye Sheridan (‘Ready Player One’), Lily-Rose Depp (‘Dreamland’) and Fionn Whitehead (‘Dunkirk’).

Penned by Burger, the film follows “30 children who are sent on a multi-generational mission to populate a new planet. After the captain of the mission is killed in mysterious circumstances, the young crew descends into chaos, aligning themselves into tribes as they surrender to their most feral impulses.”

News on the project comes via Deadline, which hears that Kelvin Harrison (‘Mudbound’), ‘Game of Thrones’ star Isaac Hempstead Wright, Chanté Adams (‘Roxanne Roxanne’) and Madison Hu (‘Bizaardvark’) are being lined up for roles.

Production is due to get underway in Romania in early June.
