Long-delayed sequel back on track…
Deadline has learned that Sony Pictures has brought in ‘The Expendables’ and ‘Godzilla’ scribe Dave Callaham to provide the script for its long-touted ‘Zombieland’ sequel.
The 2009 horror/comedy hit starred Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin as four survivors of a zombie apocalypse who use creative ways to dispatch the undead as they make their way to a rumoured safe haven in Los Angeles.
Ruben Fleischer, who directed the cult hit, is expected to return and will supervise Callaham’s script. It is unknown if the four leading cast-members will be back.
