First Trailer for George Clooney’s SUBURBICON Released

“I’ve to make decisions, like what’s best for the family.” Get your first look at Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac in George Clooney’s ‘Suburbicon,’ his sixth directorial effort and latest collaboration with Joel and Ethan Coen.

Based on a script that the Coens wrote back in the 80s, the film is a darkly comedic tale in the vein of their breakout film ‘Blood Simple’ and tells the story of the quiet family town of Suburbicon during the 1950s, when a home invasion turns a picture-perfect family to blackmail, revenge, and betrayal.

Suburbicon

Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon.

‘Suburbicon’ will have its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, before arriving in Irish cinemas November 24th.
