British filmmaker to direct paranormal thriller.
‘Red White & Blue’ helmer Simon Rumley has been hired by FilmDistrict and Boss Media to take the directing reins of the paranormal-themed thriller ‘The Last Word,’ reports Heat Vision.
The project, based on true events, centres “on the strange and tragic aftermath endured by the participants in the trial of a young man in Texas who was wrongly convicted and executed for the rape and murder of a nun.” The script comes from Ben Ketai (’30 Days of Night: Blood Trails,’ ‘Chosen’).
Actor Peter Facinelli and his A7SLE Films partner Rob DeFranco are on board to produce the thriller along with Eric Gores and Frank Mancuso Jr.
