Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Hilary Swank are in talks to join of the comedy New Year’s Eve, a spinoff of Garry Marshall’s Valentine’s Day.
Kutcher starred in Valentine’s Day, however the characters from that New Line pic won’t be in “New Year’s Eve” — which will be set in New York and follow intertwining stories of characters trying to navigate their way through romance on New Year’s Eve.
Garry Marshall is expected to return to direct, as are producers Mike Karz and Wayne Rice, and screenwriter Katherine Fugate.
Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin have already signed on to the pic, with both expected to be a part of a large ensemble.
