Patricia Arquette and Rainn Wilson Headline PERMANENT

Boyhood star Patricia Arquette and Rainn Wilson (‘Super,’ ‘The Office,’ ‘Cooties’) are set to lead the indie coming-of-age comedy ‘Permanent.’

Per THR, the comedy follows the Dixons, “an idiosyncratic family in the South who are obsessed with their hair in the 1980s. Wildly insecure, the family yearns to feel more confident and artistic while navigating toupees, permanents and schoolyard bullies.”

Michael Greene and newcomer Kira McLean also star, with Colette Burson, the creator and executive producer of ‘Hung,’ directing from her own script.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with two incredibly strong and funny women like Colette Burson and Patricia Arquette on ‘Permanent,’” Wilson said. “I also couldn’t be more thrilled to be wearing a toupee and dressing exactly like my dad circa 1982.”

Producers on the project include Mary Ann Marino, Haroula Rose, Sam Bisbee, and Joshua Blum. Todd Wagner, Ben Cosgrove, Jackie Kelman Bisbee, Lance Acord, and Danielle Renfrew Behrens are executive producing.
