David Mackenzie directing…
Chris Pine (‘Into The Woods’) and Ben Foster (‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’) are in talks to star alongside Jeff Bridges in the heist thriller ‘Comancheria,’ says Deadline.
With Scottish filmmaker David Mackenzie (‘Starred Up,’ ‘Hallam Foe,’ ‘Perfect Sense,’ ‘Young Adam’) attached to direct, the film sees Pine and Foster playing two brothers – one an ex-con and the other a divorced father of two – who are facing the foreclosure of their family’s West Texas farm. The two team for a bank-robbing spree that puts them on a collision course with a Texas Ranger (played by Bridges).
The film is based on the Black List script penned by ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor Taylor Sheridan heist.
Sidney Kimmel is financing, and producing alongside Peter Berg’s Film 44 banner and Julie Yorn. The creative team is hoping to have the cameras rolling in June.
