Halloween 2015 – Horror Movies To Watch

Ah, tis the season… everyone loves a good horror film, and from mid-October every year cinemas-goers are treated to a large selection of blood, gore and tears to tie in with Halloween. We’ve made a list of the best horror movies opening from October 2015 right through to early next year. Make sure the lights are on before continuing!

Crimson Peak
In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.
I am going to go ahead at say this now that this movie will be the horror movie of the year. Del Toro is a complete force within the creepy/horror genre and I can’t wait to see what he will bring to the table with ‘Crimson Peak’.
After attending an early screening, horror writer Stephen King called the film “gorgeous and just f**king terrifying”, and said it “electrified” him like Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead, whose distribution he helped secure with a rave review in 1982.
Make sure to watch out for Crimson Peak on October 16th 2015.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is an upcoming American 3D found footage supernatural horror film directed by Gregory Plotkin in his directorial debut, he served as the editor for the past four Paranormal Activity films. It is the sixth and final installment in the series. The film is scheduled to be released on October 23, 2015, EW has confirmed. According to producer Jason Blum, it will answer all of the questions that the series’ mythology has posed up to this point. The movie follows a new family, who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage. When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them – including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.

Victor Frankenstein
Told from Igor’s perspective, we see the troubled young assistant’s dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Viktor Von Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man – and the legend – we know today.
It is directed by Paul McGuigan and written by Max Landis. Starring Daniel Radcliffe as Igor and James McAvoy as Victor Frankenstein. With the line-up of talent this movie has I can’t help but think it can only be amazing. I think the movie will look to reinvent the old classic story in a new way for the modern day audience.
Hopefully they can change the young demographic’s mind on feeling that the older horror characters are ‘boring’ or ‘less threatening’.
Frankenstein will come to life on Dec 4th 2015

Krampus
The plot is centered around Krampus, a beast-like demon who is the opposite of Santa Claus in Germanic Christian folklore. During Christmas time, Krampus searches and finds people and punishes them for their misdeeds.
For anyone who may be farmiliar with folklore behind the Krampus will know why this movie is going to be so awesome! Although Krampus appears in many variations, most share some common physical characteristics. He is hairy, usually brown or black, and has the cloven hooves and horns of a goat.
Krampus carries chains, thought to symbolize the binding of the Devil by the Christian Church. He thrashes the chains for dramatic effect. The chains are sometimes accompanied with bells of various sizes.
You better watch out, The Krampus is coming to town on December 4th 2015.
