Emily Blunt (‘Mary Poppins Returns’), Jon Hamm (‘Good Omens’) and Christopher Walken (‘The Jungle Book’) are all set to star alongside Jamie Dornan (‘My Dinner with Hervé’) and Dearbhla Molloy (‘No Reservations’) in John Patrick Shanley’s new romantic drama ‘Wild Mountain Thyme.’
Adapted from Shanley’s Broadway hit ‘Outside Mullingar,’ the film is set in Ireland and follows Anthony (Dornan) and Rosemary (Blunt), star-crossed lovers whose families are caught up in a feud over a hotly contested patch of land that separates their two farms.
Filming gets underway later this month with Anthony Bregman of Likely Story, Michael Helfant and Bradley Gallo of Amasia Entertainment, Alex Witchel and Martina Niland of Port Pictures producing. Blunt replaces Holliday Grainger (‘Animals,’ ‘Tulip Fever’), who was previously cast in the female lead.
