Moretz in talks to join Olivier Assayas-directed drama.
Deadline reports that ‘Kick-Ass 2’ and ‘Carrie’ star Chloë Moretz is in talks to join Juliette Binoche and Mia Wasikowska on the cast of ‘Sils Maria.’
The drama sees Binoche playing Maria Enders, a famed middle-aged actress who withdraws to the eponymous Swiss town. Accompanied by her young assistant (Wasikowska), the actress reflects back on her life and career.
Moretz would be playing Joann, a character who becomes the obsession of Binoche’s character “after [she] takes on a role that made the older woman famous when she was young.”
‘Sils Maria’ is set to begin shooting this summer with French filmmaker Olivier Assayas writing and directing.
