Spoon! Warburton may return as “The Big Blue Bug of Justice”…
Multiple outlets are reporting that Amazon is looking to revive the short-lived live-action series ‘The Tick,’ with plans for Patrick Warburton to reprise his role as the invulnerable, somewhat dim, superhero.
Based on the comic book by artist/writer Ben Edlund, blue-antennaed superhero was first brought to the small screen as an animated series in 1994. The cult-classic series starring Warburton arrived in 2001; however, the series was cancelled after just nine episodes.
Edlund (‘Supernatural,’ ‘The Venture Bros.,’ ‘Firefly,’ ‘Angel’) is on board to pen the new series and serve as producer.
