Oscar Isaac Circling Political Thriller A FOREIGNER

(‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’) is in talks to direct the political thriller ‘A Foreigner,’ with Oscar Isaac (‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ ‘Ex Machina’) in line to star.

Per Variety, the Chris Terrio-scripted film is based on David Grann’s New Yorker article A Murder Foretold and revolves around “a murdered Guatemalan man who has videos of his killers distributed after his death in order to uproot the corruption that led to the death of many others.”

Steve Zaillian and his Film Rites banner will produce, alongside Steven Rales, Garrett Basch and Mark Roybal.

Isaac will next be seen in the eagerly awaited ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ when it hits Irish cinemas December 18th, followed by ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ in May 2016.
