David Gordon Green no longer linked to the big screen outing…

‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ writer/director Sean Durkin has reportedly entered into talks to take the helm of a big screen adaptation of the classic family drama series ‘Little House on the Prairie.’

Loosely based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s classic children’s books, the iconic series chronicled the lives of a pioneer family living in 19th century America. Starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert, the series ran from 1974 to 1983.

David Gordon Green (‘Pineapple Express’) was previously attached to direct.

Should Durkin put pen to paper and commit to the project, he will be working from a script by Abi Morgan (‘Shame,’ ‘The Iron Lady’).
