D.J. Caruso behind the camera…
Jennifer Garner (‘The Dallas Buyers Club’), Tye Sheridan (‘Joe’) and Maika Monroe (‘The Guest’) are to co-star in the upcoming surf drama ‘The Tribes of Palos Verdes.’
Adapted from Joy Nicholson’s 1998 novel of the same name, the Karen Croner-scripted film is “set in the upscale beach town of Palos Verdes, California and follows two teenagers whose home lives devolve after they move to the town from Michigan with their parents. The female teen, portrayed by Monroe, turns to surfing as an escape.”
Filming is set to kick off in February with D.J. Caruso (‘Disturbia,’ ‘Eagle Eye,’ ‘Taking Lives’) in the director’s chair.
