‘Pilgrim Hill’ writer-director Gerard Barrett is to step behind the camera for an adaptation of Susannah Cahalan’s bestselling memoir ‘Brain On Fire: My Month Of Madness.’
Deadline had Dakota Fanning (‘Effie Gray,’ ‘The Last of Robin Hood’) headlining the drama, which follows a young woman’s descent into insanity. Principal photography kicks off in Vancouver and New York in May.
Barrett’s latest directorial effort, ‘Glassland’ starring Jack Reynor, Toni Collette, Will Poulter, and Michael Smiley, opens in Irish cinemas April 17th 2015. The film, a winner at the Galway Film Fleadh, has its US premier today at the Sundance Film Festival.
