Acting icon Denzel Washington (‘The Equalizer,’ ‘Flight’) is reportedly circling the lead role in ‘Inner City,’ writer-director Dan Gilroy’s follow-up to the critically acclaimed ‘Nightcrawler.’
Plot details are unknown, but according to Variety, the courtroom drama takes place in Los Angeles and is billed as a character study in the vein of the Sidney Lumet/Paul Newman classic ‘The Verdict.’
Jennifer Fox, who credits include ‘Michael Clayton’ and ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin,’ is on board to produce.
Washington will next been seen in Antoine Fuqua’s remake of ‘The Magnificent Seven’ when it hits Irish cinemas September 23rd.
