Chris Pratt Wanted for INDIANA JONES Reboot

Take the following with a grain of salt…

Mike Fleming over at Deadline is hearing word that Disney is mulling over the idea of rebooting the ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise, and has apparently set its sights on Chris Pratt (‘Parks and Recreation,’ ‘The LEGO Movie’) for the role of Indy.

While the ‘Indiana Jones’ reboot is early development, there had been rumblings over the last couple of months about rebooting the property. At the time, Pratt’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ co-star Bradley Cooper was one of the names said to be on the studio’s wishlist.

Harrison Ford’s iconic Indiana Jones character was first introduced to the world with the 1981 action adventure ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark.’ The whip-cracking, fedora-wearing, gun-totin anthropologist returned to the big screen for 1984’s prequel, ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.’ His third outing, ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,’ arrived in 1989. 2008’s disappointing ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ was the latest film in the series.

Pratt is riding high on success of Marvel’s ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy,’ and has the Colin Trevorrow-directed ‘Jurassic World’ hitting Irish cinemas June 12th. He will next star alongside Denzel Washington in Antoine Fuqua’s remake of ‘The Magnificent Seven,’
