Brad Pitt is attached to star in the period drama ‘He Wanted The Moon,’ with playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner (‘Lincoln,’ ‘Angels in America,’ ‘Munich’) providing the screenplay.
Adapted from the book by Mimi Baird, ‘He Wanted The Moon’ tells the story of Baird’s father, Dr. Perry Baird, “a Texan Harvard-educated doctor who rose in the field of medicine in the late 1920s and 1930s studying the biochemical root of manic depression, just as he began to suffer from it himself.
Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, Pitt’s partners over at Plan B, are on board to produce alongside Cross Creek’s Brian Oliver and Tyler Thompson.
