‘Reign Over Me’ and ‘The Upside of Anger’ director Mike Binder has closed a deal to take the director’s chair for the family comedy ‘Familymoon.’
Penned by ‘Family Guy’ writer Dave Collard, the comedy tells the “story of a perpetual bachelor who marries a single mother of two. In lieu of a typical honeymoon, the newlyweds take her kids with them on a familymoon, where they discover that blending a family in paradise is no vacation.”
The film will be produced by Brad Epstein (‘Dan in Real Life’), and Rachel Zimmerman, Binder’s former assistant who has producing credits on the director’s last two projects. ‘Familymoon’ was initially setup over at Walt Disney Pictures before Walden Media picked it up out of turnaround.
