Dreamworks Animation is planning to give the real stars of ‘Madagascar’ their own spinoff movie. The studio has tapped ‘Megamind’ writers Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons to develop the story and write the script.
The flightless birds have already had a hit spinoff in the form of a CGI-animated TV show titled ‘The Penguins of Madagascar.’ There is no director attached to the project and no release date has been set.
